Structure and Responsibilities
To date three workstreams have been established to support the delivery of HDRC Glasgow. These are:

WS1: Governance and Management: Responsible for governance; management of programme and resources; reporting to NIHR. HDRC Glasgow is embedded within existing governance structures, with strong ties to the Public Health Oversight Group (PHOG) and the Community Planning Partnership.
WS2: Research-Policy Integration Model: Responsible for development and implementation of the Research-Policy Integration Model; data discovery, linkage and curation.
WS3: Engagement and Culture Change: Responsible for stakeholder and system mapping, leadership dialogues; engagement and dissemination across Council and with partners, public and the community.
Development Year Plan (1 Jan - 31 Dec 2024)
The key deliverables of HDRC Glasgow in the initial development year were:
- Establish HDRC Glasgow, its management and governance and its profile and relationships in the council and collaborating organisations;
- Develop and pilot key elements of the Research-Policy Integration Model and
- Undertake substantial work to develop a shared understanding and vision for HDRC Glasgow including relationships with stakeholders and the public
Year 1 Plan (1 Jan - 31 Dec 2025)
In 2025, HDRC Glasgow will:
- Strengthen governance and strategic partnerships while streamlining its project adoption processes;
- Refine the Research Practice Framework, support priority projects, and build a robust Data Community to enhance evidence-based decision-making and
- Expand stakeholder engagement, foster public involvement, and advance a culture shift toward embedding data and research into Council practices.
